Lizzo is all in for an American Horror Story cameo! The “Rumors” singer, 33, teamed up with American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson for a pair of hilarious TikTok videos on Monday, where the two recreated one of Paulson’s most memorable scenes from the hit series.
In the clips, Lizzo and Paulson, 46, lip-synced to some of Paulson’s most iconic lines from season 2 of the FX anthology, American Horror Story: Asylum.
“Help! He’s escaping! The killer is escaping!” the duo lip-synced, perfectly channeling Paulson’s character, Lana Winters, in the chilling scene.
One of the TikToks showed the pair going over the top with their dramatic performances, earning a massive 8.5 million views, while the other featured them taking a hilariously deadpan approach, effortlessly capturing the viral trend of reenacting the scene with zero emotion.
Paulson has appeared in all but one of American Horror Story’s ten seasons. In season 10, titled Double Feature, she portrayed both Tuberculosis Karen and Mamie Eisenhower. The only season she missed was season 9, AHS: 1984.
Just last month, the Emmy-winning actress revealed that the tenth season of AHS might be her final one.
When asked by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live about her next potential collaboration with Ryan Murphy, Paulson, who currently stars in Murphy’s Impeachment: American Crime Story as Linda Tripp, admitted, “I don’t know. It’s the first time in about three years where I don’t know.”
She continued, “I think this is my last season of [American] Horror Story, probably. I mean, I don’t know. Every time Murphy comes to me with some whack-a-doodle character, I tend to be like, ‘Yes, let’s do it!’ I don’t know, this is the first time. So we’ll see.”
