Kim Kardashian is opening up about the challenges of co-parenting with her ex-husband, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.

In the Season 7 premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star reflected on how her former husband’s recent behavior has affected her and their family.

The episode featured moments of tension between her sisters, Rob and Caitlyn Jenner’s appearances, and a concerning health scare for Kim, who revealed she was experiencing a “little aneurysm,” possibly caused by stress following her divorce.

While filming her upcoming FX series All’s Fair, Kim admitted that Ye’s public outbursts have added to her anxiety. “I feel more stressed because of what I had to protect.

My kids are involved now,” she said, referring to their four children, North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.

She emphasized that her focus remains on shielding her children from their father’s erratic behavior. “They’re going to know things. They’re going to grow up.

They’re going to see. My job as a mom is just to make sure that at a time when that behavior is happening, is just to make sure that they are protected.”

Kim said that one of her children recently became aware of Ye’s actions for the first time, something she had managed to conceal until now. “It was the first time, I think, one of my kids knew what was happening. I’ve been able to hide it for so long,” she said.

Reflecting on her complicated relationship with the rapper, Kim admitted, “I always felt like I had a little bit of Stockholm Syndrome, to where I always felt really bad, and always protected, and always wanted to help. And this was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility personally.”

Despite their divorce, Kim said she can’t fully separate herself from Ye because he’s the father of her children.

“It’s very confusing, because it’ll be all this talk on the internet of like, I’m keeping the kids. He’s never once called and asked. But then I’ll wake up, and it’s on Twitter that I’m keeping the kids.”

She added wryly, “It’s a divorce, not a kidnapping. We haven’t left. We’re in the same spot. What happened to the house that you bought next door?”

Ye purchased the home next to Kim’s Hidden Hills estate in 2021 shortly after she filed for divorce.

Kim recalled suggesting that he take the kids to school daily and that the family have dinner together each night, but those plans never materialized. “Maybe that’s too much, but that’s just what I saw from my mom and my stepdad and my dad,” she said.

As the tension occasionally quiets, Kim admitted she often senses when another storm is coming. “Like, ‘It’s been a little too quiet, it’s gearing up.’”

Over the past few years, Ye has made several public outbursts involving his children, including claims that he’s been kept from seeing them, as well as hateful remarks and antisemitic rants.

The rapper has also faced multiple lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct and workplace abuse.
