Servers & Communities

A community on Kaisuki is fully yours to shape — channels, roles, branding, events, and monetization. Everything you need to grow and run a thriving space lives here.

Communities & channels

Create a community and fill it with channels: text, announcement, spoiler, voice, stage, and forum. Each channel type is tuned for a different kind of interaction.

  1. 1Click the + in the server rail and choose “Create a community”.
  2. 2Name it, pick an icon, and create your first channels.
  3. 3Set channel types and permissions to fit how your community works.

Categories

Organize channels under categories that members can collapse. Categories also make permission management easier — set them once and let channels inherit.

Roles & permissions

Roles carry color, an optional hoisted section in the member list, mention settings, and around 35 fine-grained permissions covering messaging, moderation, channel management, and more.

Roles are ordered by position — higher roles win in the hierarchy, which also governs who can moderate whom.

Channel overrides

Fine-tune access on a single channel by overriding permissions for specific roles or members — allow or deny individual permissions without changing the base role.

Reaction roles

Set up a message where reacting with a given emoji grants a role and removing the reaction takes it away — a simple, self-serve way to hand out interest or notification roles.

Invites & vanity URLs

Create invite links with optional expiry and use limits, and see how many joins each one drove. Eligible communities can claim a memorable vanity URL.

Server tags & banner

Give your community a short tag members can wear on their profile, plus a banner image across the top of the server for branding.

Welcome screen

Configure a welcome screen that points new arrivals to your most important channels and sets the tone the moment they join.

Verification gate

Turn on a verification gate so new members must acknowledge your rules before they can post. It's off by default — enable it when you want an extra speed bump against spam.

Server boosts — keep 75%

Members can boost your community to unlock perks, and creators keep 75% of boost revenue. Boosts are the core way communities earn on Kaisuki.

Scheduled events

Plan events tied to a stage or voice channel, or point to an external location. Members RSVP and get reminders as the start time approaches.
