Community Manager

CommunityRemoteFull-time

Kaisuki is a home for fan communities, and it lives or dies on whether the people in it feel looked after. This role is half outward — announcements, social, seasonal events — and half inward, making sure what members are complaining about reaches the people who can fix it.

Apply for this role

What you'll do

  • Run announcements and seasonal moments: new features, house seasons, siege results, shop drops.
  • Be present in the common rooms and in the servers. Not as a mascot — as someone who answers.
  • Work with house leadership and server owners; help them run their own communities well.
  • Turn what you hear into something the team can act on, with examples rather than impressions.
  • Help write the parts of the product people read: guides, patch notes, in-app copy.

What we're looking for

  • You have run or moderated a real online community, and can describe a time it went wrong.
  • You write clearly and quickly, in a voice that sounds like a person.
  • Steady under pressure. Some of this job is a bad day happening in public.
  • Fluency in how fan communities actually behave — the norms, the in-jokes, the failure modes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Discord-shaped moderation tooling and escalation paths.
  • Video, streaming or short-form content.
  • You have written documentation people actually read.

How to apply

Email us with something to read — a portfolio, a repository, a project you are proud of. A short note about why this role in particular gets you further than a long cover letter. We read every application and reply either way.
